Be Enchanted By Australis

Earlier this year Australis released its new Autumn/Winter colour story, 'Enchanted Forest'. With deep, earthy shades to accentuate eyes, nails and lips, you're sure to add warmth to the cold season! Here's the low-down on their fab new products…

The Eyes

Enchant everyone you meet this winter with these hot new shades! The pressed powder eye shadows glide on deliciously for a smooth, satin finish with a light-reflecting shimmer to match the sparkle in your eyes! The duo eye shadow pack (Enchanted Forest) comes with a pearly, creamy white, and a gorgeous bronzy-brown. I tried it out & found it was perfect for a natural day- to- day look, with a little bronzer to compliment the warm tones. Add a few 'eye accessories' (i.e. Eye-liner, mascara) and your ready for a night out.

If you prefer a darker, smokier look for evenings, the trio eye shadow pack makes eyes smoulder with its deep olive green. This pack comes with a lighter, pastel olive green and a silky cream highlight.

To compliment these delicious shades is an eye pencil in 'olive', and 'Mega Lash Mascara'. For a subtle hint of colour try sticking with the lighter eye shadow shades, and adding a soft line of the olive eye pencil (to soften the line smudge it with an eye shadow applicator).

TIP: Try matching an accessory to your main eye shadow/ eyeliner colour to complete the look - Try a scarf, necklace, brooch or earrings (remember to keep it simple though, don't over-accessorise!).

The Lips

The two new shades of gloss smell absolutely divine (think fruit, fairy-floss and bubblegum combined!), and they come in purse-friendly packaging with inbuilt applicator. Majestic is a natural shade with just a hint of colour, perfect for everyday use, and Boysenberry is a bit more stunning - still glossy and opaque, but with a deliciously rich berry colour. And for those of you that like to go all out for those special occasions, there's also a new shade of 'Colour Max Lipstick', Forbidden Fruit.

TIP: Try to avoid going dark on both eyes and lips. Instead, pick one or the other to be the focus, and keep the other fairly neutral with soft, natural tones.

The Nails

Included in this new winter colour story are two Nail Colours - 'Satine' and 'Cherry'. Satine is a light, natural pinky colour, and Cherry speaks for itself!

TIP: For a long wearing, perfect finish on nails, always do 2 or 3 coats of nail polish, but make sure you leave plenty of drying time between coats. This will avoid chipping & smudging.
