If there is one unanimous mantra when it comes to fashion and beauty, it's what goes around comes around. Today we're going back to the roots of floral design.
Designers are currently dreaming up some of the prettiest floral concoctions we've seen in a long time. And no one is more familiar with getting back to the roots of fashion than Advertising Campaign Manager, Stephanie Cunningham.
This 23-year-old fashion guru proves that advertising, like fashion, can be beautiful.
"Frills, fun and frivolity!" Cunningham articulately describes the new season which she plans to cleverly scatter into the fresh soil of her South Brisbane based advertising company, Red Suit.
With her audacious niche, Cunningham is not one to make ripples. She makes waves. Case in point: her own fashion trends.
Whilst more than aware of the latest runway trends and styling nuances, Cunningham continues to take her own cues from the grandeur of Vintage fashion.
"I'm not into fads," says the self-described "design-devotee", who drums up inspiration from diverse sources such as Balenciaga, Old Hollywood Glamour and floral design.
Today it is Audrey Hepburn that appears to have inspired an elegantly dressed Cunningham, who wears a classic little black dress pared with a fabulous au courant-detailed trench coat.
But it is the designer of fashion label; Bows and Hearts Designs that paved the earth for a young Cunningham. And who might this icon be? None other than her mother, Lorilie Cunningham.
"She's the most creative person I know. It is her devotion to fashion that inspires me to take design to new heights."
Getting back to her roots is somewhat of a ritual for Cunningham who tries to incorporate "at least a little" of her mother's collection into her daily attire. Today, it's a tasteful, bouquet inspired brooch.
From wherever and whomever it may stem, the love of fashion and beauty that is alive within each of these women is abundant.
The 'fashion seed' has evidently been planted and now there's no stopping them from growing.
But whether they're pruning, primping or posing: there is no doubt that it is their passion that will ultimately drive these beauties to full bloom.
