Bellaboo Beauty Review

A short time ago we were lucky enough to stumble upon a little gold mine, in the form of Bellaboo beauty products. The Bellaboo team sent us their products to try out, and the results are in!

About Bellaboo

Bellaboo and her crew (which consists of 6 teenage girls- Sarah, Lizzi, Jess, Lucy, Ash, Kristina) have helped develop a skin care range that's full of yummy natural ingredients. Their aim is to 'help you get the skin you deserve to be in'. For starters, what an awesome goal! This stuff is created by teenagers, for teenagers. Who better to know exactly 'what a girl needs' when it comes to skincare?! They've especially chosen each ingredient because it's good for your skin, and their products are free from nasty chemicals such as sodium-lauryl sulphate (a harsh chemical used in beauty products to make them foam).

The packaging is fun, fresh and funky, the kind you want on display in your bathroom, not hidden away in the cupboard. Each product has a different colour theme, and a winking Bellaboo, whose jewelry and accessories match the colour of that product. She may be two dimensional, but she is one clued-in chick when it comes to fashion!

Bellaboo has also gone one (or ten!) steps further than just skincare - She has an awesome website where you can meet the crew, and check out all sorts of other fun stuff. There are blogs as well as movie, music, and book reviews. They have tips on the latest fashion trends, a taste of what's hot in the celebrity world, and of course you can check out her products and keep up to date on the latest skincare tips. The Test

Well, being in charge of the beauty section of What a Girl Needs sure has its perks. I'm the lucky one who gets to sample some of the many amazing products out there, just so I can tell you guys all about it (it's a tough life!). Admittedly I had never heard of Bellaboo, and I'm always a little skeptical when it comes to skin care. I have sensitive skin, which in my case means if there's something in a product my skin doesn't like it reacts by committing the ultimate sin - breaking out. We all know there is never a good time for a breakout, so you can imagine my apprehension.

Step 1

My first step was to research my product. The first thing I do before buying or trying any beauty product is to read the ingredients. Although most of it usually reads like some kind of alien language, you can generally get the gist of whether or not a product has many natural ingredients (such as essential oils and plant extracts). I was pleased to see that most of the ingredients in all four Bellaboo products were of this nature. I also checked out the website, and got the vibe of what Bellaboo is all about, which of course I loved! The Bellaboo crew are fun, down-to-earth, and genuinely interested in helping us all get the skin we deserve to be in!

Step 2

My second step was a two-week trial. So I ditched all of my usual skincare products and placed the Bellaboo range in prime position on my bathroom shelf. Following the instructions on the back of each product, I began my new beauty routine. I also got my bestie to do the trial just so I could have a second opinion!

Step 3

The results: 10/10!!! We love Bellaboo skincare range! The products were great to use, they felt gentle and soothing on my skin, no stinging or tightness or anything like that. The EZ Blitz serum was fabulous at gently sorting out my unwanted blemishes around the face and neck area, and the facial scrub left me feeling clean and refreshed. I have to say though, my absolute favourite part about using Bellaboo products was the smell - it's a most delicious, natural, indescribable yumminess! I'm sure it's because they use heaps of natural plant extracts and oils instead of the usual artificial colours & scents.
